Ram is dusting off the Rumble Bee nameplate for not one, but three "muscle trucks" packing not one, but three versions of the Hemi under the hood.

What, were you expecting the Hurricane?

Officially, the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is linked to Ram's partnership with NASCAR this season — after all, win on Sunday, sell on Monday. Unofficially, much of Stellantis is under new management, so we're picking up on something of a quiet apology tour for some of its previous CEO's questionable decisions, like killing off the Hemi in the first place.

All three Rumble Bees share one common bed/cab layout. They're all Quad Cabs with the short bed, a combination not normally available, but this allowed Ram to shorten the frame by 13 inches. This means less flex and better response to driver inputs, along with slightly more practicality — the last Rumble Bee, based on the third-gen Ram, was regular-cab-only.

The 2027 Ram Rumble Bee's familiar, all-Hemi engine lineup starts with the 5.7-litre V8. Output is remains the same as the standard trucks with the five-seven; it puts out the 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, and an eight-speed automatic is the only transmission option. Four-wheel-drive is obviously standard — conveniently, there's a button near the shifter that pops the truck into 2WD mode — and later on, Ram will offer an optional limited-slip diff.

From there, the next step up is the Ram Rumble Bee 392. Those magic numbers denote the 6.4-litre Hemi under the hood, and also answer a longtime call from Ram buyers asking for more displacement in the 1500. It puts out the same 470 horsepower as other Mopars with the six-four, but you have 455 pound-feet of torque to light up the rear tires here. Ram says this combo does the zero-to-96 km/h run in 6.1 seconds, and a quarter-mile run in 14.6 seconds.

It also uses the same eight-speed transmission, four-wheel-drive setup, 3.92 rear end, and brakes — 14.9-inch rotors with two-piston calipers up front, and 14.8-inch rotors with single-piston calipers out back — as the 5.7-powered trucks. Both Rumble Bees also use the same coil suspension setup, including monotube Bilstein dampers, wider front and rear track, beefier sway bars, and a lower overall ride height, though Ram hasn't specified by how much. Think of them as the same truck mechanically, just with a bigger engine.

Where things get really interesting is the Ram Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack. It swaps out the coils for dual-valve Bilstein Damptronic Sky dampers, stickier tires, and bigger Brembo brakes at each corner, along with a dedicated "Track" drive mode, and an electronically locking rear diff. Oh, the Track Pack also adds launch control. Track Pack or not, Ram says the Rumble Bee 392 knocks off the zero-to-96 km/h run in 5.2 seconds and covers a quarter-mile in 13.2 seconds.

The Ram Rumble Bee SRT is the top-of-the-line trim, replacing the six-four with the supercharged 6.2-litre Hemi out of the TRX. Here, you have 777 horsepower and 680 pound-feet of torque at your disposal, along with upgraded cooling and aero, a more robust version of the eight-speed automatic. The chassis, suspension, and brakes are carried over from the Track Pack. Naturally, this is the speediest one: the Rumble Bee SRT does the zero-to-96 km/h run in 3.4 seconds, the quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds, and although Ram hasn't specified a top speed, they're targeting 274 km/h.

Despite the pavement-pounding performance, Ram maintains the Rumble Bees can still do most pickup-truck tasks — towing and payload come in at 8,890 and 1,160 pounds, respectively.

Visually, the Ram Rumble Bees look appreciably tougher with widened fenders, reworked fascias and aero bits that actually improve air flow and cooling, wheel designs exclusive to the Rumble Bee, and body-colour accents. Track Pack and SRT Rumble Bees include a different front end design, even more aero bits, and a rear tailgate spoiler.

The first of the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bees will land in dealers towards the end of 2026 with the 5.7-litre Hemi. The Rumble Bee 392 and SRT will follow early 2027; pricing and availability will be announced closer to their on-sale dates.
