Picking up a 2026 Mustang or an F-150 with the Coyote V8? Good news: you can now spec a supercharger from the factory.
Ford's supercharger kit available for certain Mustangs and F-150s is nothing new, typically treated as a dealer-installed accessory ordered through its Racing Parts — formerly Ford Performance — catalogue. But the automaker is changing things up for 2026, now offering to install the supercharger kit at the factory.
The kit is developed by Whipple Superchargers and is available on any 2026 Mustang or F-150, as long as the 5.0-litre V8 lives under the hood. It turns the heat up to 700 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque on the F-150. Mustang GTs and Dark Horses see even stronger gains, to the tune of 810 hp and 615 lb-ft of torque with the active exhaust.
Without the active exhaust, you only get 800 horsepower. And regardless of the application, top speed remains unchanged.
Now, it's worth noting this is just for the supercharger kit. You don't get any supporting mods, like beefed-up chassis and suspension components, better tires, and aero upgrades, so holding out for a Mustang Dark Horse SC (and its supercharged flat-plane-crank V8) might still be worth it. But you do get the luxury of a factory-backed warranty, which is rare among aftermarket add-ons.
