Like thunder follows lighting, the Toyota Sequoia follows the Tundra into 2027 with a similar series of updates — including a new trim level.
Toyota's updates to the 2027 Sequoia kick off with the new Trailhunter trim. Like the closely related Tundra, the Sequoia Trailhunter is based the base SR5 trim. Look for Michelin LTX Trail tires and bronze 18-inch wheels, Old Man Emu suspension bits, a locking rear differential, skid plates, and Trailhunter badging. Toyota also throws in its Mult-Terrain Select and Crawl Control software.
The 2027 Sequoia is also updated with a subtly reworked front fascia on the outside and Toyota's latest, more smartphone-like infotainment inside. It's anchored by a 14-inch touchscreen now standard across the whole lineup — previously, the base SR5 trim utilized an eight-inch display — and Toyota also updated the hardware tied to its active safety and driver assists for improved obstacle detection. A built-in dashcam is now standard, too.
The 2027 Sequoia appears to be on the same schedule as the Tundra — production begins this fall, and Toyota will announce pricing and availability sometime before.
